What reelbid.lol collects, why, and who it goes to. Read it with the Terms of Service.

1. Who is responsible

Our Grievance Officer is Ubbala Eswaramma, and a complaint about this policy or about a listing can go to them. The Grievance page has the address and the periods we answer in.

2. What we collect

  • Your listing — the reel link, handle, title and thumbnail, and the amounts paid and when. This is public by design.
  • Payment — a payment reference, the amount, and an email address if you gave one to the payment processor. We never see or store card details.
  • Clicks — a count per listing. We do not record who clicked.
  • Requests and page views — set out in the next section, precisely.
  • Server logs — ordinary request logs, kept briefly for security and debugging.

3. What a request record holds

Money is taken before a reel is checked, so we keep enough about where a submission came from to spot payment abuse. This is the whole of it.

  • Your IP address, in two reduced forms, never as you sent it. A salted one-way hash, which shows that two submissions came from the same connection without holding the address, and a truncated prefix — the last block of an IPv4 address replaced with a zero, an IPv6 address cut to its routing prefix. The prefix is the only form anyone ever sees. The hash is never displayed. The address itself is never written to our database.
  • Your browser. The user-agent string, and a coarse class we read from it: mobile, tablet, desktop, bot or unknown.
  • Approximate country. A country and, where our host sends one, a region or city code, both taken from headers our hosting network adds. We run no geo-IP database and call no lookup service, because that would send your address to a third party.
  • Referrer. The page that linked you here, if your browser sent one.
  • Page views. The path you opened — never the query string — plus the referrer, country, device class and a visit identifier. That identifier is derived from the hashed address and the day and changes at midnight UTC, so twenty page loads count as one visit and nothing links today to tomorrow.
  • Operator actions. When somebody running the site takes a decision about a listing or signs in to the console, we record who, when, the reason typed, and the same reduced network details for them.

4. What we use it for

  • Running the board and taking payment for a position on it.
  • Stopping fraud and payment abuse — card testing, chargeback abuse, bursts.
  • Deciding whether a paid submission can be published, and saying why afterwards.
  • Answering a complaint or a rights notice about a listing.
  • Counting visits. We use no analytics service and no advertising network.

5. Decisions made automatically

Some of these checks are automatic. You can ask us to look at any decision again. Asking does not affect your refund: a submission we do not publish is refunded in full either way.

  • What the check reads. The reel link and its domain, the handle, and the title and description we retrieved from the destination page. That is the complete list.
  • What it is never given. Your IP address in any form, your payer email, the payment reference, the device class, the country, the referrer. It cannot identify you, because it is shown nothing that could.
  • Where it runs. By default on our own server: no third party, and no part of your submission leaves it. The site can instead be configured to send the fields above, and nothing else, to an external provider. If we ever run it that way, that provider is named in section 7 before it is switched on.
  • What is kept. What was decided about the listing, when, and what it turned on. That record outlives the listing, because it is the answer to why something came down.

6. No account, no tracking

There is no account here, so there is no profile to build. We set no advertising or cross-site cookies; the only cookie is the session for an operator signed in to the console. Your theme preference stays in your own browser and never reaches us. The one identifier we give you is the tracking id on your receipt: it names a submission rather than a person, it is random rather than derived from anything about you, and it is the only way either of us can get back to that submission.

7. What is public, and who else sees the rest

  • A published listing — link, handle, title, thumbnail, amounts and rank history — is public and may be indexed by search engines. Do not submit anything you are not willing to publish.
  • Everything in section 3 is not public. It is visible only to the people running the site, in a console that is never indexed and never cached.
  • Our payment processor and our hosting provider handle data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data, we do not give it to advertisers or data brokers, and we pass it to nobody else except where the law or a court requires it.

8. How long we keep it

  • Request records — 12 months. Deleted 12 months after they are written.
  • Page views — 90 days. Deleted 90 days after the visit.
  • Operator sessions — 8 hours. A console session expires after 8 hours and its record goes at expiry or at sign-out.
  • Decisions about a listing — kept for as long as the Service runs.
  • Payments — amount, time, reference and any payer email, kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires the operator to keep them.
  • Listings and amounts — permanent by design, and public while published.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to see, correct, delete, restrict, move or object to your data, and a right to complain to your data protection authority. Email selfbidsupport.lol@gmail.com, or take it to our Grievance Officer through the Grievance page, which says how long a complaint takes. One practical note: because we store no addresses, we cannot find your records from an IP address. Quote the tracking id from your receipt, your listing URL, or your payment reference and we can. Taking a listing down does not reverse a payment — the Terms say when a payment is refunded.

10. Age

The Service is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and it is not directed at anyone younger.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. A material change is made on this page and the date at the top changes with it.
